I was fortunate to receive a full scholarship because of athletics. Too bad they just cut half of the athletic teams, so they could give out more academic scholarships. The athletes were furious….but because SCAD is top in the world as a art/design school, they are trying to expand. They called it the reconstruction of the athletic department…us athletes called it a slap in the face. So right now I’m very disgruntled with the college, but it doesn’t take away the fact that its a great place to get your artistic degree, top in the world to be exact. So try building up your portfolio & submit it for review…maybe you can get a scholar.
